Forest Monitoring Network

Using satellite data and local reports to detect illegal logging and forest loss early.

Forest Monitoring Network
In Development

The Forest Monitoring Network is a developing project that combines open satellite data with local, on-the-ground reports to catch forest loss early.

What we do

The problem we are addressing

When forest loss happens, spotting it in time is often the hardest part. Satellite data is scattered, alerts are hard to interpret, and local people may not know how to report what they see. We want to change that.

Current development phase

  • Mapping needs and identifying support gaps in Belgium
  • Building partnerships with existing support services
  • Designing a referral and information framework
  • Piloting with a small group of partner organisations

How you can help

If you are a support professional, social worker, or organisation working with vulnerable families, we would like to hear from you. Get in touch to explore partnership or collaboration.
